In 2023, Material Matters will showcase a curated mix of exhibitors to celebrate the importance of materials and their ability to shape our lives. The selection included global brands, makers, designers, manufacturers, and artists working in materials that ranged from recycled aluminium, clay, wood and glass to orange peel, roots and sugar.
Goldfinger

Goldfinger designs and crafts timeless furniture and homeware, using reclaimed and sustainable materials. They are an award-winning social enterprise working for the good of people and the planet.
5,000 mature trees are felled every year in London due to weather, urban development or disease. Most of these are needlessly chipped and burned. Goldfinger puts this 'Treecycled' timber to good use by giving it a new life as furniture, saving the tree from being wasted, capturing carbon, and reducing the need to cut down our forests.
Their profits support the Goldfinger Academy, which creates pathways to design and craft careers for young people in the local community, and the People's Kitchen, a monthly community meal cooked from surplus ingredients.
