In 2023, Material Matters will showcase a curated mix of exhibitors to celebrate the importance of materials and their ability to shape our lives. The selection included global brands, makers, designers, manufacturers, and artists working in materials that ranged from recycled aluminium, clay, wood and glass to orange peel, roots and sugar.

Jo Andersson Studios is a design studio based in Sweden. It specialises in creating hand-made glass sculptures, products, and interactive experiences intended to engage the viewer. Its goal is to inspire a sense of well-being and awe. Playing with light, sound, and space is our specialty. Each piece of hand-blown glass is hand-crafted with extreme attention to quality and detail, ensuring that it is of the highest standards.

These Knots is the beginning of a new lighting design that Jo Andersson Studios will launch in the spring. Each three-dimensional light sculpture is hand-made and one-of-a-kind, using fire, glass tubing, and noble gases. Inspired by strings and chaos, these sculptures are sure to light up your environment and provide you with a sense of joy.
