Seoul-based repurposing studio LOWLIT COLLECTIVE design and craft furniture and decor products using a blend of reclaimed plastic materials and natural by-products. The goal is to breathe life into discarded materials, and allow people to connect with objects in new and interesting ways.

The studio will present new works at Material Matters 2023, all of which look to ancient influence, contemporary art and sustainable practice. A highlight is the Vent-Age Chandelier, which is crafted using discarded plastics and repurposed ventilate pipes from Swedish cars – showcasing how unwanted leftovers can be transformed into something beautiful.

Other highlights include &Tikkle Table, which is made using a shell-blended plastic composite, and Reefy, a modern modular wall system inspired by coral reefs, and 3D printed using bio-composites made from Tikkle Plastic and hemp byproducts.
