MATERIAL MATTERS 2025 MOVES TO ICONIC SPACE HOUSE FOR LONDON DESIGN FESTIVAL

The Material Matters Fair is set to make an exciting return to the London Design Festival 2025, and we have big news - we’re moving to a brand new home. For the first time, the fair will take place on an entire floor of Space House, one of London’s most distinctive modernist landmarks.
A New Chapter for Material Matters at Space House
Designed by Seifert & Partners in the 1960s, Space House is a Grade II-listed architectural icon that has recently undergone a stunning restoration and modernisation led by award-winning architects Squire & Partners. Originally home to the Civil Aviation Authority, this striking circular structure has been reimagined for contemporary use while preserving its historic significance.
Located in the heart of central London, Space House offers unparalleled accessibility, with Covent Garden, Holborn and multiple tube stations just a short walk away. This hyper-connected location makes an ideal setting for the Material Matters Fair, bringing together innovators, designers and industry leaders to explore the future of materials.
Why the Move?
Material Matters co-founders Grant Gibson and William Knight share their thoughts on the exciting change:
“We’ve had three fantastic years at Bargehouse. However, we couldn’t be happier with our new venue for 2025. With the support of developers Seaforth, we’re looking forward to showcasing Space House and using it to display an array of extraordinary products and ideas.”
