In 2022, Material Matters showcased a curated mix of over 40 exhibitors to celebrate the importance of materials and their ability to shape our lives. The selection included global brands, makers, designers, manufacturers, and artists working in materials that ranged from recycled aluminium, clay, wood and glass to orange peel, roots and sugar.

Smile Plastics is a materials design and manufacturing house creating hand-crafted, supersized panels for retail, architecture, interiors, and product design. We have two primary goals. Firstly, to create the most beautiful circular plastics in the world – 100% recycled and 100% recyclable materials. Secondly, we want to challenge ideas about “waste” and the system that creates it.
