Rethinking acoustics through wood fibre
What if the humble ceiling tile could do more? Finnish materials innovator Aisti, represented in Denmark by Beyond_Rational, is quietly challenging one of architecture’s most overlooked surfaces.
Aisti manufactures suspended acoustic ceiling tiles from renewable wood fibre, using a foam-forming process that creates a lightweight, structured material with impressive acoustic performance. Fire-safe, recyclable and designed for scalability, the tiles offer a compelling alternative to conventional systems. At Material Matters Copenhagen, Aisti will introduce its biobased solution to Denmark for the first time, inviting visitors to get close to the material itself: its texture, its structure, and the thinking behind it.
