Exploring furniture through emerging biobased materials
Bundle Studio is a Copenhagen-based design studio working at the intersection of material research and furniture production, using hands-on experimentation to explore how emerging biobased materials can shape form, structure and use.
At Material Matters Copenhagen, the studio presents two lounge chair prototypes developed with NeoLigno, a lignin-based adhesive created as an alternative to fossil-based binders. Rather than concealing the material’s characteristics, the designs highlight its distinctive dark bond lines, revealing construction as an integral part of the aesthetic while demonstrating the structural and tactile potential of moulded veneer.
