Giving London's Trees a Second Life

Fallen & Felled is transforming the way urban timber is valued by giving trees felled in and around London a second life. Rather than allowing this resource to be chipped or burned, the company mills it into high-quality hardwood for furniture, interiors and architectural projects, creating a local, low-carbon alternative to imported timber. Working with makers, designers and architects, every piece carries a traceable story that connects it to the place where the tree once grew.

At Material Matters London, Fallen & Felled will preview its new Single Tree Collection—a made-to-order range of tables crafted from individual trees. From live-edge slab tables to contemporary dining and conference designs, each piece is fully traceable to a single tree, with customers able to select the species, dimensions, leg design and even the individual slab. The collection demonstrates how provenance, craftsmanship and circular thinking can create furniture with lasting value and a uniquely local story.
