Capturing the fluidity of glass in form and light
Jo Andersson Studios is a Swedish design studio working with hand-blown glass to create objects and lighting that sit between sculpture and function. Founded by glass artist Jo Andersson, the practice explores the movement, colour and texture of glass, allowing the material’s inherent fluidity to shape each piece.
Developed in collaboration with skilled glassmakers, the studio’s work embraces variation and unpredictability, resulting in expressive forms designed for contemporary interiors. At Material Matters Copenhagen 2026, Jo Andersson Studios will present Drippy, a new lighting collection combining hand-blown glass with wood and brass, capturing the moment molten glass begins to shift and settle.’
