Sunday Light is rethinking interior lighting with a ceiling-mounted system that recreates the experience of natural daylight indoors. Founded in London in 2023, the company combines lighting design, optical engineering and circadian science to deliver daylight-level illumination that supports sleep, mood, energy and cognitive performance. Handmade in west London, each luminaire follows the changing rhythm of the sun throughout the day, bringing the benefits of natural light to homes, workplaces, hotels and wellness spaces.
At Material Matters London, Sunday Light will present its flagship luminaire, which uses a reflective optical panel and Rayleigh scattering to create the impression of a luminous blue sky with a bright sun at its centre. Producing up to 34,500 lumens while remaining silent through an innovative water-cooled system, the light delivers exceptional colour rendering and can be programmed via an app to follow daily routines or help reduce the effects of jet lag.
