Reimagined materials shaped into luminous design
Tabitha Bargh is a Brighton based Product Designer. Her work and studio celebrate a love of materiality, as she explores the power, purpose and beauty of mundane materials.
This year at Material Matters, she presents CartOn and Poly. CartOn features sculptural lampshades crafted from European
certified FSC recycled cardboard and biodegradeable glue. Poly gives new life to discarded estate agent signage and advertising boards, transforming ridgid plastic into soft, flowing pleated forms that hide playful colours and typography within.
Also featuring at the fair is a new collaboration with FibreLab. Together, they have created a lampshade made with paper from textile waste - an evolution in material innovation and circular design.
