Engineering Regenerative Material Futures

The New Materialist is pioneering a new generation of biomaterials that bridge scientific innovation with industrial application. Working from material discovery through to full-scale production, the studio develops high-performance, scalable alternatives that transform agricultural by-products and organic waste into regenerative materials for design and manufacturing. .

At Material Matters London, The New Materialist will present a curated selection of material innovations, including algae cellulose foams, tomato peel coatings, PHA composites and materials derived from upcycled invasive species. Demonstrating the complete journey from biomass to finished application, the exhibition highlights how material design can replace polluting substances while supporting circular production and creating new possibilities for architecture, interiors, products and beyond.
