Raw, rebellious furniture and homeware inspired by brutalism and skate culture

Trouble is a small company based in Oxfordshire making contemporary furniture and homeware in a more artisanal way, sourced as locally as possible from independent makers. Trouble has a rebellious spirit and draws influence from the aesthetic of skateboarding with a design language that leans towards brutalism, using materials such as wood, aluminium and concrete in their raw forms.

At Material Matters 2025, they will be presenting their new OH dining table, a solid ash lozenge shaped table - its shape and size promotes an intimate and connected dining experience. Surrounding it will be its smaller sibling the OX stool which was awarded a 2025 Design Guild Mark.

As well as the solid ash OH dining table, Touble Studio will be showcasing a curated selection of their new home accessories such as BLOK Vase, a brutalist interpretation of a vase in concrete and glass.
