Sculptural furniture shaped by digital craft and material experimentation
Wedge is a London-based design and research studio, co-founded by artist-designers Lei Zhang and Peiyan Zou, alongside theoretical physicist Andy Zhang, specializing in creating innovative sculptural furniture and installations through advanced digital fabrication and sustainable material research.
Featuring at the fair will be Epoch II. A new line of sculptural furniture created using computer-generated designs, digital scanning, and 3D printing with sand and metal. Each piece explores the beauty of material imperfections and open-ended creation processes, blurring the line between practicality and artistic expression.
Epoch II connects digital production with a tactile, handmade feel, encouraging new interpretations of time, marks, and design as a dynamic, ongoing process.
