Material Matters 2024 takes place 18–21 September at the magnificent Bargehouse, Oxo Tower Wharf located between the National Theatre and Tate Modern on London’s Southbank. The nearest stations are Blackfriars (south), Waterloo and Southwark.

Tickets and registration
Material Matters is free to visit for trade with advance registration, and £15 for public. Registration/tickets are available at the door.
Access
The Bargehouse was built as an industrial space in the late 1920s. Material Matters is spread across all of its five floors. However, please note the building does NOT have good access, requiring visitors to climb stairs. Find out more on accessibility via Able Access, here.
Student groups
All student groups over 10-strong need to contact us directly – via hello@materialmatters.design to agree on a time for their visit. Groups with members that are aged 16 or below need to ensure there is a ratio of one member of staff for five students.

Oxo Tower Wharf is a year-round design destination and home to some of the UK’s most innovative designers and makers; having visited the fair don’t miss the opportunity to explore its resident studios. In addition, the Bankside Design District is hosting a range of activities as part of the London Design Festival.
Material Matters is a short stroll from a huge range of restaurants and bars. Without hesitation, we recommend visiting the Bankside Hotel; a social hub for anyone with a passion for culture, art, food & drink.
