From product design, furniture and lighting to metal, ceramics, textiles or technology, the brands and makers on display are at the leading edge of contemporary design.

In collaboration with VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland, Manuel Arias showcases the potential of biotechnology. The exhibition includes mycelium leather-like materials along with other mycelium-based materials that could offer alternatives to animal and synthetic leather as well as plastics in the near future. A series of material samples in different colours and sizes will be on display along with some conceptual prototypes showcasing the material’s properties and future uses. This exhibition is a visual and tactile playground for future materialities using mycelium.
