Material Matters showcases a curated mix of over 50 world-leading brands, designers, makers and organisations to celebrate the importance of materials and their ability to shape our lives. From product design, furniture and lighting to metal, ceramics, textiles or technology, the brands and makers on display are at the leading edge of contemporary design.

SenseLink was co-founded by product designer Wanpeng Xu (Loki) and fashion designer Xiaoxin Cai in London. The duo’s cross-disciplinary and multicultural backgrounds fuel their passion for exploring boundaries across diverse territories and cultures. SenseLink tells captivating stories through homeware products, furniture, and sculptural objects.
At Material Matters, the pair will be showing its first product series as a design brand, Strands Vase, a co-creation with lacquer artist Bei Jiang. The series combines 3D printed bio plastic with post-processed lacquer, derived from the sap of the Chinese lacquer tree.
